Today I am linking to LeeAnna's Not Afraid of Color for I Like Thursday The prompt for this week is unexpected events at holidays - a funny story about Thanksgiving. I have racked my brain and not come up with a thing. I guess that puts us in the boring category! So, instead, I am showing you this glorious brat and margarita I had at the ballpark this summer!
Our first back-country trip of the summer was in Waterton Peace Park, just over the border from Montana. We stayed a night in Waterton before and after our trip. It is a wonderfully quaint town, and we'll be going back!

We closed out our visit to Waterton with a meal at the Chop House - delectable food and outstanding service!

Back at home, I was entertained by this enormous toad in my garden, and a Great Blue Heron caught on my trail camera down by the lake. It will be a while before I am seeing either one of them again!

We took a lake cruise and did some hiking. I blogged about it back then. On my blog this week i have a connection to Montana and Waterford, Ireland. If you have been to Helena you've seen it!

ReplyDeleteHi Angie. Well I of course know that everything in the US is bigger and better. You jst proved it with the toad. Even the Great Blue looks looks oversized from that angle.
ReplyDeleteWow, the toad really looks huge, dear Angie :-DD And with this Great Blue heron you can see the relationship with dinosaurs extremely well by the eyes. (I've never noticed this so much with other birds.)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures really seem like there's a lot of reason for gratitude and joy - beautiful landscapes and summer experiences. I can imagine that your surroundings will have turned white by now too? In any case, we have had snowfall here several times, then the snow disappeared several times, but at the moment it is staying because it is very cold. So your flower-butterfly-sunshine photos are like a warm blanket for me :-)!
